Kate's Homemade Butter

Everyone knows that homegrown food from Maine is good.  There is simply no questioning this fact.  This has been proven to me time and time again and, I am happy to say, has been proven to me once more.  My roommate had been raving for a while about this amazing butter he found at Whole Foods.  When he finally managed to bring some home I discovered that it was Kate’s Homemade Butter from Maine.  Kate’s in made by the Patry family in Old Orchard Beach.  They use a slow-churn process, one batch at a time.  The extra work really pays off; the butter is delicious and smooth.  It has a flavor that speaks of pure cream and salt from the sea.  I’ve been using it on everything these days and it is an amazing addition to the table.  Whether melting it on a baked potato or spreading on some toast, Kate’s butter makes plain food sparkling with a complexity of flavors.  I would highly recommend having some Kate’s butter on multi-grain toast with Stonewall Kitchen’s Wild Maine Blueberry Jam.  Fan-frickin-tastic!
