Jack Black Black Diamond Formula Lip Balm

Everyone should wear some type of lip protection.  This is not just for aesthetics; it is for your own health and for the health of any who would choose to touch your lips.  Cracked lips are painful and, in worse case scenarios, spread disease.  I have often used plain old chapstick to prevent my lips from chapping, but it has left me wanting throughout the years.  Chapstick tends to be waxy and does not really condition the lips at all.  Frankly, I have developed chapped lips while wearing chapstick at points in my life.  So I went on a search for a good lip balm.  I came across Jack Black while shopping for cologne in Sephora. It is in a small blue container which is unobtrusive enough to be enclosed in tight pants pockets.  The lip balm in not in solid stick form, but is a gel.  It is extremely minty and tingles when applied.  One of the ingredients is shea butter, which conditions the lips quite well.  A drawback of shea butter in products is that sometimes it emits a decomposing odor once the product has been opened for long enough.  This has not happened to me with Jack Black, probably because of the minty overtones.  I started using Jack Black when I had chapped lips and the painful, ugly chapped skin returned to normal after only two days of application.  Generally, I am quite pleased with this product.  I have yet to try it out during winter’s wrath, so we shall see if it holds up all year round.
