Izze Sparkling Beverages

Colored bright orange and vibrant pink Izze Sparkling Clementine and Izze Sparkling Grapefruit drinks catch the eye as you walk by them is your local health food store, naturally conscious grocery, or Starbucks.  But will the taste-buds appreciate what the eye is so fond of?  This is a question that I have decided must be attended to.

Izze markets itself as “Simple Healthy Refreshment”.  Their sparkling drinks contain 70% fruit juice and 30% sparkling water and all the sugars present are from fruit juice.  The drinks are caffeine free and have “no artificial anything.”  On opening the twist off bottle cap I was rewarded with the gentle hiss escaping carbonation.  The Izze Grapefruit smells just like the freshly cut fruit, if a little bit lighter.  As the drink spills over the tongue I was pleased by the light, but sincere, grapefruit taste that teased the taste-buds.  The drink ends with an aftertaste of refreshing sweetness that contains none of the cloying sacrin qualities present in so many soft drinks these days.  The Izze Clementine was just as pleasant as the Grapefruit, but has a slightly more powerful taste.  Both drinks have a dryness to them that is quite novel in today’s fizzy beverage market.

So hop on over to your local Starbucks or other proprietor of fine beverages and purchase yourself some Izze.  If you are looking for natural rejuvenation and true taste you will not be disappointed.

As an endnote, Izze has many more flavors beside Clementine and Grapefruit.  These just happen to be the flavors I have stumbled upon recently.  Izze has also come out with a new product line called Izze Esque, which is a lighter spin with fewer calories.
