Oliver & Co. Black Truffle Olive Oil

It is important to invest in nice things from time to time and this includes food products.  Olivers & Co. is a great store with a location in Grand Central Station.  They primarily sell premium olive oil and vinegars.  I’ve recently had the great pleasure to be introduced to their O&Co. Black Truffle flavored Specialty Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  At about $30 for a small 100ml bottle it is not cheap, but oh is it good!  Upon opening the bottle you can smell the pungent oil from across the room.  Just a couple of drops make anything taste better.  I especially like it in a hot soup; a drizzle on top after the soup has been ladled out fills the dinner table with a fragrance that enhances any dining experience.  So far though, my favorite thing to do with the oil is drizzle it on popcorn.  It is the most heavenly, most delicious, most savory popcorn you’ve ever had – no movie night is complete without it.
